Cute! But is it verging on exploitative? They can say that they just want to, for lack of better words, normalize the shock value on the one hand; while on the other hand getting those who were shocked to pay attention to the hook at the end.

Verging, maybe, but I think they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If they only used straight couples, wouldn’t someone complain about that too?
I’m going to give them points for the adorableness and say good for them. In this day and age, it’s probably not “brave” to do a commercial like this, but I appreciate it anyway.
